Magazine lifts the lid on New Generation Thinkers

The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) has published a one-off magazine which celebrates the AHRC/BBC Radio 3 New Generation Thinkers scheme.
New Generation Thinkers (NGT) is a pioneering scheme which aims to develop a new generation of academics who can bring the best of scholarly research to wide public audience via the broadcast media.
The magazine lifts a lid on the New Generation Thinkers scheme, featuring interviews with NGTs past and present who share their top tips in applying for, and being successful in the scheme. The magazine also features an interview with Dr Michael Eades from the School of Advance Studies, University of London who explores the ongoing contribution of the New Generation Thinkers to the Being Human Festival of the Humanities.
Each year, NGT gives up to 60 successful applicants have a chance to develop their media skills with experienced BBC producers at a series of dedicated workshops. The final 2019 workshop takes place today (16 January 2019) at the BBC studios in London.
