International Placement Scheme Fellowships Announced
Fifty one awards have been made under the International Placement Scheme (IPS), for short-term fellowships at overseas research institutions for AHRC/ESRC-funded PhD students and Early Career Researchers. Thirty nine awards were made at the Library of Congress, Washington D.C, including seven awards to ESRC candidates. Six awards each were made at The Huntington Library, California and National Institutes for the Humanities (NIHU), Japan. Research topics include: ‘Race and Anglo-American relations’; ‘Cultural engagement with North Korea from contemporary Japan’; and ‘Exploring seventeenth-century Irish social and religious conflict and change’. The 2014/15 IPS scheme will open for applications in October, with additional hosts to be announced.Return to news list
