Being Human: Apply to host an event

Date: 04/06/2014

Being Human is the UK's first national festival of the humanities. Between 15th and 23rd November 2014, the festival will engage people across the UK with innovative research. Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the British Academy, the festival will highlight the ways in which humanities research can:

  • inspire and enrich our everyday lives
  • help us to understand ourselves, our relationships with others, and the challenges we face in a changing world
  • provide world class knowledge that is vibrant, vital, and accessible to all

Over 35 research institutions from across the UK are already set to participate in the 2014 festival, and more are welcome. If you represent a research organisation and would like to stage an event as part of the festival, please download our application form, and email the completed form to rosemary.lambeth@sas.ac.uk.

Applications will continue to be welcomed until Friday 20th June 2014.

If you wish to discuss your application, please contact Dr Michael Eades at michael.eades@sas.ac.uk or Rosemary Lambeth at rosemary.lambeth@sas.ac.uk
