AHRC Council - Membership vacancies
Do you want to play a vital role in the UK's research and innovation system?
UK Research & Innovation (UKRI) brings together the seven research councils, Innovate UK and Research England. We work to ensure the UK maintains its world-leading position in research and innovation.
Each council is led by an Executive Chair, supported by a Council of between five and 12 members. Council members play a critical role in UKRI’s strategy development and governance - providing input, intelligence and feedback from their communities and stakeholder groups and working closely with their Executive Chairs to deliver their council's aims and objectives.
Council members have a range of expertise and experience in research and innovation across higher education, industry and commerce, policy and/or civil society, reflecting different characteristics and professional backgrounds. The exact membership takes into account the specific needs of each council.
AHRC, as part of UKRI, is recruiting two additional members. We are seeking to strengthen our Council to ensure a wide range of strategic experience and professional backgrounds.
Applicants with relevant expertise within a professional context (such as higher education, creative industries, health humanities, public policy for example) and an ability to advise on new research and innovation opportunities within the remit of AHRC are encouraged to apply.

The closing date for applications is midday on 29th July.
Interviews will take place on 13 September in London.Return to news list
