Flexible funding awards: three new projects funded by MEITS

The Multilingualism: Empowering Individuals, Transforming Societies (MEITS) project, part of the AHRC Open World Research Initiative, has announced the outcome of its second and final flexible funding call. Beginning in early 2019, the projects will foster innovation in research-led teaching and support curriculum change in modern languages in higher education.

AHRC Funded LAUGH Project nominated for Outstanding Dementia Care Product 2018

AHRC-funded LAUGH ‘HUG', a product designed by the LAUGH research team led by Professor Cathy Treadaway from Cardiff School of Art and Design, Cardiff Metropolitan University, has been selected for the final for the Outstanding Dementia Care Product 2018 category in the National Dementia Care Awards 2018.

New research projects announced to tackle mental, neurological and substance abuse disorders in developing countries

The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) are announcing £4.9 million of funding for seven new projects addressing and preventing poor mental healthin developing countries.
