Hear from the experts: new masterclass provides insight into world of non-academic publishing

In January 2020 the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), in partnership with the British Academy and Ebury publishing, part of Penguin Random House, will be running a pilot one day ‘Publishing Masterclass’ at the British Academy in central London on the 15 January 2020 from 10:00 - 16:00.

Ten researchers from across history and political science will be selected to attend this unique workshop, where they will get the opportunity to find out how to navigate the world of non-academic publishing and hear first-hand from publishers, gaining valuable insights and top tips. Attendees will also get the chance to learn more about pitching ideas for potential non-fiction and the ingredients for shaping it into a bestseller. Further opportunities will become available for other researchers in 2020 across the arts, humanities and social sciences.

To apply for a space at the Publishing Masterclass please fill in the short application form. The closing date for applications is 16.00 on Friday 22 November and the successful ten researchers will be notified during the week commencing Monday 9 December.
