Apply for IRO status
Independent Research Organisations (IROs) may be eligible to receive funding providing they have an existing in-house capacity to carry out research and can demonstrate and Independent capability to undertake and lead research programmes.

It can take on average 12 months for an applying organisation to achieve IRO status. The stages of the application process are outlined in the application process flowchart. (PDF, 189KB)
