UKRI GCRF Collective ProgrammeReturn to opportunities
In January 2019, AHRC will be announcing several GCRF calls which AHRC are delivering on behalf of UK Research and Innovation.
Calls will be announced in the following areas:
- Preventing Conflict, Building Sustainable and Inclusive Peace (Network Plus Scheme)
- Protection in Contexts of Conflict and Displacement (Network Plus Scheme and Research Programme)
- Education in Conflict and Crisis Research (Network Plus Scheme)
- Cultures, Behaviours and Histories of Agriculture, Food, and Nutrition (Partnership Building Grants Calls)
These calls are part of the UK Research and Innovation GCRF Collective Programme. For more information about the programme and individual call announcements, see: UK Research and Innovation: UKRI GCRF Collective Programme.
The UK Research and Innovation GCRF Collective Programme, will consist of a series of calls designed to enhance the overall impact across the six strategic GCRF Challenge portfolios in global health, education, sustainable cities, food systems, conflict and displacement, and resilience. Research across these is contributing to realising the ambitions of the UK government’s aid strategy and progressing the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
These intractable development challenges are multidimensional and complex challenges that have proven to be resistant to change, prone to fragmented responses and which cannot be solved by a single organisation or from one sectoral or disciplinary perspective. It is therefore important to note that proposals should be challenge-led and interdisciplinary in nature notwithstanding which council is leading.
This page will be updated with further details on the calls as they become available.
Town hall meetings
AHRC will be holding a series of town hall meetings to discuss the role of arts and humanities in the wider GCRF Collective Programme and to explain the ambitions for these specific calls in more detail. More information about the town meetings will be added to this page when the call is live.
