Collaborative Doctoral Partnerships 3: Call for ProposalsReturn to opportunities
The Collaborative Doctoral Partnership (CDP) scheme was introduced in 2012, with the first cohort of studentships beginning in 2013. It is intended to give non-HEI partners with a proven track record in postgraduate research the opportunity to apply for a cohort of a minimum of three studentships per year over a three year period.
The aim of the CDP scheme is to support excellent collaborative research training through:
- Giving non-HEI organisations greater autonomy in the selection of PhD projects they would like to support and supervise.
- Providing non-HEI organisations or consortia with a firm funding horizon of collaborative doctoral awards to support their research training strategy, and to enable the development of enhanced programmes of PhD study that provide students with career development opportunities outside the standard academic route.
- To foster collaboration between CDP-holding organisations and consortia in the development of wider training and development opportunities for the PhD students they support.
AHRC is seeking applications for the next block of CDP studentships. Awards made under this call will cover three annual allocations of studentships for students starting in: October 2020, October 2021, and October 2022.
Closing Date: 13/09/2018
How to make an application
Applications must be submitted using the Research Councils’ Joint electronic Submission (Je-S) System.
More guidance will be provided once the call opens in Je-S.
