Digital Research and Development for the Arts In Wales: Expression of Interest Call for Research Team Consortia

The Digital Research & Development Fund for the Arts in Wales is a partnership between, Arts Council of Wales, the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts (NESTA), which aims to enable the use of digital technologies in the arts sector to engage audiences in new ways and to create opportunities for new business models.

The Fund aims to test ideas and to pilot new ways of working in the arts and achieve a ‘step change’ in performance, either by expanding audience reach and engagement and/or by opening up new ways of generating financial revenues.

By supporting projects to work in conjunction with a research team, we will ensure that the experiences, ideas and transferrable learning that emerge through these projects can be shared with other organisations.

We invite Expressions of Interest (EoI) from consortia of up to three Research Organisations (ROs) and/or Independent Research Organisations (IROs) to work with arts and cultural organisations and technology providers on projects under the Digital Research & Development Fund for the Arts in Wales.  The ROs/IROs may be based anywhere in the UK although each consortia must include at least one Welsh institution.
