AHRC and BT Research Networking Pilot Funding Call

Fellowships in the Creative and Performing Arts

The Fellowships in the Creative and Performing Arts (FCPA) and Research Grants Practice Led and Applied (RGPLA) schemes were originally intended for capacity-building in the area of practice-led research and both schemes operated, in one form or another, for over 10 years. After considerable discussion at our Advisory Board and Council it has been concluded that both schemes have been highly successful building capacity in the field. Therefore the decision has been made not to continue with both schemes, as it is now appropriate that funding for research in this field is through our other funding mechanisms.

Digital Equipment and Database Enhancement for Impact (DEDEFI)

Closing Date: 05/11/2009

‚ÄčThe AHRC has secured £4m of additional capital funding in 2009/10 and 2010/11 to support a funding call for proposals that will lead to (i) enhanced access to leading edge digital technologies and facilities by arts and humanities researchers and/or (ii) enhanced impact from digital research outputs, such as databases, established with current or past AHRC or AHRB support.

Public Sector Placement Fellowship - JTAC

As part of its Public Sector Fellowship Scheme, the AHRC welcomes applications from academics interested in working in a research capacity in the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC). The scheme, run in conjunction with ESRC’s standard Placement Fellowship Scheme, encourages arts and humanities researchers to spend time within a partner organisation to undertake policy relevant research and to develop the research skills of partner employees.
