Submission rates

The submission rate survey looks at the rate of submission of doctoral students who have held Postgraduate awards.

The results of the 2015 doctoral submission rate survey show an overall submission rate of 83 per cent for students holding AHRC doctoral studentships who were due to submit their thesis during the four year period between 1 October 2012 and 30 September 2015. A total of 2779 doctoral award holders at 108 institutions were included in the survey during the four year survey period ending 30 September 2015.

You can read more about our policy on submission rates, including how we are working with institutions to improve their submission rates, in the Training Grant Funding Guide.
